Tension and anxiety about public speaking is a very common complaint, causing great distress in preparation and during the presentation. The good news is that you can do something about it. Through a combination of exercises and working on the right mindset, you can build confidence to stand comfortably in front of a group.
Body awareness is essential in this process. Therefore, you will do several meditation, voice and breathing exercises with the coach. We look at whether there are limiting beliefs around public speaking that can be replaced with helping thoughts. In addition, we examine what coping mechanisms (patterns) you unconsciously employ, and how they reinforce your tension or fears. You learn how to deal with your patterns and nerves , so that you can really connect with yourself and your audience.
The approach to tension around public speaking is always customized; we draw from a palette of methods that we deploy in a targeted way. Therefore, we always start the process with an inventory of the background, specific wishes and questions. The content of the further coaching sessions is tailored to these needs.
