Presenting like a TED-talk

The great success of TED shows the need for original ideas and stories. And it has set a new standard. We expect speakers to tell an engaging and to-the-point story.

During our Presenting like a TED-talk training you will unravel and learn the techniques behind a good TED talk.

You will work with (very) experienced TED trainers to shape and powerfully present your unique story. Speak to Inspire trained speakers for TED Global, TEDx Amsterdam, TED Haarlem and several other local TED events. We coached well-known TED speakers such as photographer Jimmy Nelson and Duncan Stutterheim. We also train speakers for other major speaker events, including at Heineken, Booking.com, ING and Damen Shipyards.

Our TED-talk training is a mix of presentation and storytelling techniques. The program consists of:

Structure: You learn to build your presentation with our unique Speak to Inspire method, so that you grab the attention, make your subject matter urgent for your audience and make them think or take action.
Storytelling: what are the requirements for a good personal story and how do you find appropriate stories? You get tools to lard your message with storytelling and expressive language.
Presentation: The content of your talk depends on how it is presented. During this training you become aware of how you come across, and you gain insight into the possibilities of your voice and body language, with the aim of strengthening the relationship with your audience, so that they embrace your idea.

And of course we conclude with everyone's personal story: all participants put the material into practice with a first short version of their TED-talk and get feedback on content and presentation.
